Home Austronesian Indonesian/Malay
Indonesian (official name bahasa Indonesia) is virtually the same language as Malay: Indonesian is spoken in Indonesia and Malay is spoken in Malaysia. There are also some minor spelling differences due to the orthography being developed by the ex-colonial powers: the British in Malaysia, and the Dutch in Indonesia.
